Concord Hospital Trust Pedaling for Payson Raises Over $161,000 for Nurse Navigation

Concord Hospital Trust welcomed 239 cyclists for the 17th Annual Pedaling for Payson cycling event, presented by Concord Orthopaedics, on Saturday, September 10 at Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton N.H. The event raised $161,323 for patient support at the Payson Center for Cancer Care.

All proceeds from the ride will benefit the Pedaling for Hope Fund, which largely funds a nurse navigator position at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. Nurse navigators are a single and consistent point of contact for patients battling cancer. These professional “family members” help patients and their families navigate their way from diagnosis all the way through treatment, and even beyond — helping them live anti-cancer lifestyles.

In 2022, 152 patients were supported by nurse navigators.

Additional sponsors of the event included the Demoulas Foundation, Ragged Mountain Resort, Concord Imaging Center, S&W Sports, The Common Man, Eastern Bank, Johnny Prescott Oil, Swenson Granite Works, Harvey Construction, New Hampshire Distributors, Voya Financial, Prime Buchholz, Dennehy & Bouley and Conway Business Solutions.
