Concord Hospital is proud to announce that Dr. Veronica Triaca, associate medical director for urology, earned the distinction of InterStim™ Center of Excellence (COE) by Medtronic, the world’s largest medical device manufacturer.

The InterStim™ COE is the highest honor bestowed to a physician from Medtronic. It recognizes physicians who demonstrate exemplary use of the InterStim™ system,  and commitment to patient care for individuals suffering from symptoms associated with overactive bladder, accidental bowel leakage and urinary incontinence. According to the Urology Care Foundation, 30 percent of men and 40 percent of women in the U.S. live with overactive bladder symptoms.

“This is a wonderful accomplishment for Dr. Triaca,” said Dr. Bill Santis, associate chief clinical officer for surgery with the Urologic Institute. “Her commitment and dedication to providing the highest level of patient care is evident, and the fact that Medtronic has recognized her efforts is truly amazing.”

Veronica Triaca, MD/MBA, is a Temple University School of Medicine graduate.
